Thursday, October 29th is the drop off day for your pumpkin at Washburn Hardware & Sport. It's the annual carving contest sponsored by the Washburn Area Chamber of Commerce and Washburn Hardware & Sport. Pumpkins will be lighted and on display in our store window, Thursday the 29th and Friday the 30th. Judging at 4pm on Saturday !

Contest Rules:

There are 4 youth categories (funniest, scariest, cutest, or most complex) & an adult category (overall design) so everyone can participate! Pumpkins must be dropped off at Washburn Hardware on Oct. 29th between 10am and 4pm. Pumpkins will be lighted and displayed from Oct. 29th - Oct. 30th. Each pumpkin MUST have a 2 inch hole drilled out of the middle of the back for lighting by the store and be accompanied by an index card with the following information written legibly on it or your pumpkin will not be eligible for display or judging: Name, Age, Phone, and Category you are entering. Judging will take place on Halloween at 4pm. Pumpkins MUST be picked up On Sunday 11/1/2020 before noon or they will be disposed of. Winners will be announced on the Washburn Hardware & Sport and Washburn Area Chamber Facebook pages.

Kids in need of a pumpkin can visit the Washburn Public Library starting on Oct. 27th to pick up a pumpkin & carving kit (supplies may be limited).
