Library building work to begin soon
Recently, the Washburn Public Library Board of Trustees accepted a bid from Innovative Masonry Restoration, LLC to tuckpoint and clean the entire exterior of the Library building. This work will include necessary stone replacement and repair.
It is anticipated that the project will start during the week of June 7th and will last throughout the summer. The main entrance off of Washington Avenue will be closed at times, but the south entrance off of West 3rd Street should remain accessible throughout the project. We will provide additional updates as needed.
This project is possible because of grants from the Otto Bremer Trust, the Washburn Community Education Foundation, the Bayfield County Building Strong Libraries program and funding from the City of Washburn. AND the generous private donations from many residents of Washburn and the surrounding area.
